Little Britain is a hit comedy which has grown from a show on a small British radio to a show seen on millions of TV screens worldwide. A Fansite has been relaunched to harp back to the past and look to the future!

This has created a legion of fans that love the show now and will love it forever. To meet the needs of these fans a website called LittleBritainOnline was created nearly 3 years ago. The site has now been relaunched and looks set to carry on strongly into the future.

LittleBritainOnline.com was first set up in 2004 at the height of the Little Britain comedy in the UK. Since then the Little Britain bandwagon has gone quiet in the UK however it has continued to gain popularity across the world. LittleBritainOnline.com is the largest Little Britain fansite in the world for content and possibly even traffic. When the third series was aired in the UK the website had 40% more traffic than its main competitor. Since then other fansites have disappeared whilst LittleBritainOnline.com has continued to get stronger.

The site has now been relaunched with lots of new features expanding the content of the site by approximately 10%. The site has also been made more user-friendly and has a lot more interactive features that members can use. The reason this has been done is to extend the lifetime of the site and to try to get those who have forgotten about Little Britain to fall back in love with it. If they do that they will stay longer on the website which should result in higher profits from advertising. This will also benefit the website in the search engine rankings creating a domino effect.

It has been confirmed that Matt Lucas and David Walliams (creators of Little Britain) are working on new content for the American network HBOS. The relaunch of LittleBritainOnline.com will put it in pole position to capitalise on the new creations of Matt and David in the form of minisites. If the new work of the guys is a success then there is no reason the LittleBritainOnline.com website can’t continue for at least another 5 years providing a good return on the time needed to run the website.
