Celebrity chef Maria Liberti hosts benefit book signing at the Moravian Book Store, 428 Main St., Bethlehem, PA – on Saturday, June 9, 2007, from 1-3 P.M.
[PRURGENT] -- Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, celebrity chef and author Maria Liberati will be putting her star status to good use by hosting a benefit signing and sampling at the Moravian Book Store, 428 Main St., Bethlehem, PA – on Saturday, June 9, 2007, from 1-3 P.M.
Fans and readers can look forward to meeting the author and enjoying samples of delicious Italian recipes featured in her bestselling book, The Basic Art of Italian Cooking. Benevolent guests will have the opportunity to purchase the book, and Maria will be available to autograph copies and share her recipe and stories of her life in the mountains of Italy. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Gilda’s Club, a worldwide nonprofit organization that provides emotional and social support to those living with cancer.
After completing culinary training in Italy, Ms. Liberati combined her passion for art and food in the acclaimed bestseller, “The Basic Art of Italian Cooking.” The book has been hailed as “a fine primer for budding Italian chefs” by specialty foods consultant Michael DeGeorgio, and Maria has received much media attention for her talents including appearances on NBC and Lifetime TV. Fans can look forward to two television pilots in the works, the launch of her virtual book tour in June 2007, and the release of her companion DVD filmed at The Restaurant School in Philadelphia. Amidst all the business, Maria still finds time to support her favorite charities, Gilda’s Club and the International Red Cross.
