RTCal™ is a novel and cutting edge technology that provides easy access to heat flow data online in real time without calibrations.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

METTLER TOLEDO is proud to announce the latest and leading edge technology for measuring heat data online. RTCal™ is a novel tool for chemists and engineers employed in process research and development. The measurement is based on a heat flux sensor providing highly reliable and accurate data.

RTCal™ is a built-in analytical method providing highly relevant safety information. It allows you to make adjustments to the actual chemistry and optimization of process parameters on-line and in real time.

Because RTCal™ can be applied already in small scale at an early stage it helps to reduce development time, resources and consumption of precious material and thus brings great value for pharmaceutical as well as fine chemical and polymer industries.

RTCal™ is complementary to the traditional heat flow method. It can be used as a sole method or together with the well-known heat flow to provide an additional set of data which translates into better information.

Experiment times may be substantially shorter because RTCal™ does not require any calibrations which are commonly required for heat flow calorimetry.

Measurements with RTCal™ are independent of the properties or the behavior of the reaction mass. Thus, investigations of previously difficult-to-study chemistries, such as polymerizations, homogenous and heterogeneous reactions, become easier.
