Stet Corporation’s New Technology using Agriculture Waste will reduce Greenhouse Gases
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
BELTON, TEXAS (July 4, 2007) -- With its miles and miles of open grassland and pastures, Texas unquestionably has an extremely large concentration of red imported fire ants. For more than thirteen years, Wm. Dean Holz has been preparing for the control of these destructive pests and many other insects. Today, Holz officially announced the launch of Stet Corporation, a Texas-based developer, manufacturer and distributor of WisEarth™ branded insecticides and soil products. The company’s flagship product, True Stop™ Fire Ant Killer, an environmentally friendly natural insecticide for residential, commercial, and agricultural use, kills red imported fire ants – the entire mound.
Holz originally developed The True Stop™ formula in 1991 while working with fertilization and bio remediation. The Stet Corp. process manages dairy and feedyard waste materials by converting the highest quality liquid compost into stable, consistent concentrates. In its new manufacturing facility in Belton, Texas, Stet Corp. stabilizes and preserves the nutrients found in the raw material to create all-natural, biodegradable and safe products.
“Until now, the red imported fire ants had virtually no natural biological control agents in the United States,” said Holz. “Not only are we working to help rid the United States of this dreaded and sometimes deadly nuisance, but we are offering a solution to dairy farmers in the disposal of waste product.”
Continued Holz, “We’ve developed a fire ant killer like no other. Once a mound is treated with True Stop™ Fire Ant Killer, ants become non-aggressive and within 24 hours, it’s possible to witness dead ants being removed from the mound, including the winged reproductive queens and the males. Additionally, there is no environmental damage with the use of WisEarth™ products.”
Stet Corp. has partnered with dairyman Arjen Geijsel, owner of Wilhelmus Dairy, a 1,000-head dairy located in Hico, Texas. Geijsel is an adviser to the Stet Corp. executive team on dairy-related business issues, especially on items related to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the authorized body that administers the Clean Water Act in Texas, and dairy waste regulatory activities.
In support of Stet Corp., Congressman John R. Carter explained, "Regulation of dairy waste continues to be one of the most controversial issues affecting dairy farmers today. Stet Corp. has devised a way to remove manure from the dairy farms in an environmentally sound and cost effective manner, creating best practices for reducing the potential for pollution from their farming operations. I am thrilled that we were able to assist Holz in getting approval from the EPA for Stet Corp so they can continue their important work.”
Stet Corp. is currently working with Texas-based distributors Enviro-Point (Austin), Organica Ideal (Bastrop), STMM Distributing (Leander), Rocking Bar L (Canton), Welch Enterprise (Trenton) A Shaw Sources (Hutto) and BWI (Schulenburg). In addition to Texas, Stet Corp received approval to distribute in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee and is currently working on partnerships in Peru and Africa. Stet Corp has also filed an application to conduct business in California.
Stet Corp. also continues to develop additional innovative and environment-friendly products to add to its WisEarth™ line. Stet Corp. plans to release its WisEarth™ Liquid Compost and Root Stimulator in July.
