ZUG.com launches a star celebrity tatoo prank and free tattoo design contest with tatoofinder.com, a high quality online tattoo design store. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
ZUG.com, the world’s oldest comedy web site, today launches its first celebrity tattoo contest. After discovering that Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys has the world’s worst collection of random tattoos, ZUG invited Web users to share their craziest ideas for future Nick Carter tattoos, from “Giant tattoo of a leg tattooed up his leg” to “IF LOST, PLEASE RETURN TO BACKSTREET BOYS tattooed on his forehead.”
The three funniest ideas, as judged by the ZUG.com comedy community, will receive a free tattoo design, compliments of tattoofinder.com.
Nick Carter, the Backstreet Boys heartthrob, is a veritable reference book of tattoos. His ill-advised tattoo collection includes a tribal band on his right arm, his nickname KAOS tattooed down his back, a seahorse, a moon, and a sun. If there is any kind of theme to Nick Carter's tattoo collection, it would be "Designs You Often See in a Tattoo Parlor."
Nick Carter's most inexplicable tattoo is the shark on his left bicep, which is accompanied by the Chinese characters for "Poseidon," the mythical god of the sea. The musician recently had the tattoo substantially redesigned, but why he kept the CHINESE characters for a GREEK god is a bit of a mystery.
To promote this free tattoo design contest, TattooFinder.com has unveiled a new celebrity tattoo section, which names the top celebrity tattoo designs for various categories: best female celebrity tattoo (Angelina Jolie), best male tattoo (David Beckham), and best rock artist tattoo (Dave Navarro). The site also names the 5 worst star tattoo designs, with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys taking the (dis)honor.
“We always recommend that people carefully consider their tattoo designs before getting inked,” says TattooFinder.com co-founder Lou Bardach. “That’s advice that some of these celebrities obviously did not heed.”
ZUG.com is no stranger to tattoo humor. The comedy site’s famous “Chinese Tattoo Prank” claimed to list the Chinese tattoo symbols for “love” and “friendship” for those considering a tattoo. In reality, they were symbols taken from a Chinese restaurant menu for foods like “mu-shu pork” and “shrimp dumplings.”
“It’s important to fully research your tattoo designs before you get inked,” says ZUG.com editor-in-chief Sir John Hargrave. “Although mu-shu pork is a very tasty dish.”
ZUG.com welcomes everyone to submit their craziest Nick Carter star tattoo designs, before the Backstreet Boy makes yet another ill-advised tattoo decision.
