FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

New site built and supported by Summit Media helps Brain Tumour Trust . The William Doolin Fund today launches its new website with the help of Summit Media, an online strategy and marketing company. As an umbrella group of the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust (SDBTT), the http://www.williamdoolin.com [William Doolin Fund] aims to educate and help families affected by brain tumours and specifically medulloblastomas.

Maureen Doolin and her family set up the SDBTT William Doolin Fund in December 2006, after her son died on October 20 2006 at the age of ten years. A bright, active, popular, sporty boy, William touched everyone he met. His family’s plan is to help other children and their families who may find themselves in a similar situation in the future. The main aim of the trust is to raise funds specifically for research into medulloblastoma. This type of brain tumour is the most common primary central nervous system tumour in children and is also one of the most aggressive.

The creation of the William Doolin Fund website, is funded, built and supported by Summit Media, providing a major channel for future publicity. In addition to providing a permanent memorial to William, the website will provide information on medulloblastoma and of the research to find a cure. It will provide a forum for other families to share their experiences and it will give information on fundraising, both by the William Doolin Fund and by other organisations aiming to raise money to support research into medulloblastoma.

Marion Aylott, Summit Media, concludes: “So far, over £15,000.00 has been raised for the SDBTT William Doolin Fund thanks to various events including sponsored walks, both locally and in New Zealand; sponsored swims; raffles; sales of home made goods; quizzes and generous donations both of money and in kind. We are delighted to be able to help the trust with a specific website that will help families affected by brain tumours. Most importantly it will also help to raise thousands of pounds for research into the disease, which is desperately needed to help the hundreds of sufferers!”
