The Golden Spider Awards is an annual event honouring Irish individuals and organisations for their outstanding achievements, creativity, innovation and successes in the field of the internet and digital media. It is a prestigious award and previous winners of the award include some of the foremost Irish companies such as Allied Irish Bank, Allianz, myhome.ie and HostelWorld.com
The two websites designed by Continuum Technologies which have been short listed include Setanta Sports, www.setantasports.com, short-listed for the best sports and leisure website and NCB Stockbrokers, www.ncb.ie, short-listed for the best financial services website.
Setanta Sports is a leading international sports broadcaster operating in Ireland, the UK, North American and Australia. The company’s website, www.setantasports.com, was designed as an ecommerce solution enabling customers to subscribe to the latest satellite broadcasts of international and domestic sports. The site also offers the latest results and news coverage for many of the major sporting events. The key considerations regarding the design of the site were innovation entwined with simplicity of navigation. The design of the site ensures one click success, in that customers can locate the information they require or subscribe to the service within one click.
Continuum Technologies also designed the NCB Stockbrokers website, www.ncb.ie, which has been nominated for best financial services website. NCB is one of Ireland's largest independent securities firms and has been a leading provider of institutional equities, wealth management and corporate finance services to clients for over 25 years. The site is a brochure website enhancing the company’s corporate presence while allowing clients easy access to relevant information on the specific products and services offered by the company. The design reflects the company values of professionalism, superior service and client focus.
