Changing your body shape and toning up in the New Year may well be near the top of your resolutions list but it can be hard to find the motivation to actually get started.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Going into 2008 with a new roster of services and classes, London Osteopathy centre Posture Dynamics will offer daily Pilates classes in its new look Ealing Clinic from January, ensuring a fun and productive way to get in shape with other like-minded Londoners.

Pioneered by Joseph Pilates almost a century ago, the Pilates discipline of body conditioning is a uniquely precise exercise designed to lengthen and strengthen muscles and improve posture without stressing the joints.

“Pilates is actually one of the safest forms of exercise, causing less stress on joints and muscles than aerobic activity such as jogging,” said Daren Fletcher, founder of Posture Dynamics. “It is an activity I recommend to my clients as it can help with specific injuries and is a great de-stresser.”

The Posture Dynamics Ealing clinic classes will be held throughout the day and overseen by a trained Pilates instructor. Suitable for beginners and advanced attendees, the Posture Dynamics approach is to provide all class-goers with a personalised service. Rather than focusing on generic complaints, Posture Dynamics Osteopathy clients have the benefit of working to specifically target problem areas and speed up the treatment and recovery process.

Pilates has long been recommended by osteopaths as helping to achieve better posture by strengthening the centre of the body, enabling it to support the lower back, helping the body to stand and move efficiently.

Daren Fletcher added: “The Pilates instructors will work with our osteopaths, meaning the instructors can isolate particular problem areas and focus individual sessions on those specific muscles or muscle groups needing particular attention.”
