Vassar and Jordan Will Present Their Top 2007 Classical Recordings Picks

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (December 31, 2007) — WCPE, TheClassicalStation.org, Preview! hosts Deana Vassar and Paul Jordan announce the station’s January 6 broadcast will offer a recap of the best of 2007’s classical recordings. The program will air at 6 p.m. ET.

Over a dozen of the year’s recordings will be featured, ranging in style from “High, Bright, Light and Clear: The Glory of Baroque Brass” to “Masters and Commanders: Music From Seafaring Film Classics.” The artists will range from seasoned masters, such as Leon Fleischer, to the newest generation of artists, including Xue Fei Yang.

“Some of the year’s top picks are great ‘goose bumps’ tunes,” say Vassar. “Many of the recordings that we chose were also listener favorites.”

Preview! is a weekly feature of WCPE that airs every Sunday evening from 6 p.m.–9 p.m. ET and presents the latest in classical recordings and upcoming classical music events. WCPE can be heard worldwide, 24/7, via the Web in multiple streaming formats, including the next generation IPv6. Visit TheClassicalStation.org/internet.shtml to begin listening online.
