ork City, New York and will be release theatrically and on DVD in spring 2008. “The Stick Up Kids” was produced by The System Within Film Productions and Tariq Alexander. This urban drama, set in Harlem, follows the lives of four friends who must make major decisions about the path they will take following a series of tragic events and mysterious death. They are forced to examine the effects of inner city genefication, and community empowerment. Tariq Alexander ( The System Within, Kings For The Evening) co-wrote the screenplay with Dr. Debora Heflin and leads the cast as Santos. “The Stick Up Kids” is also the directorial debut for HAWTHORNE JAMES (Five Heartbeats, Speed, Se7en, Bossin Up, The System Within).
