January 30, 2008: Jet Airways,India’s premier airline, will be providing its esteemed passengers traveling to and from Pune,and onwards on Jet Airways flights out of Mumbai a seamless surface transport due to the temporary closure of Pune airport,from February 12 – 26, 2008.*
Jet Airways will operate comfortable coaches for the benefit of its passengers. These coaches will shuttle between Pune and Mumbai, dropping passengers off at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport’s Domestic terminal where the airline’s passengers can make their onward connections. Passengers arriving on Jet Airways flights into Mumbai’s domestic airport will also be connected to these coaches for shuttle between Mumbai and Pune.
Announcing the launch of this shuttle service between Pune and Mumbai, Mrs. Sonu Kripalani, VP-International & Domestic Sales, Jet Airways said, “This initiative on the part of Jet Airways is an industry first, and reflects the airline’s commitment to the highest standards of customer service. As the temporary closure of Pune airport was not within the airline’s control, Jet Airways developed the concept of a coach service so as to provide the airline’s business passengers with an alternate mode of transportation.”
Passengers who are making fresh bookings (i.e. those not booked earlier on the affected flights), must have an online connection on a Jet Airways domestic flight. These passengers must be arriving from a Jet Airways flight into Mumbai and connecting Mumbai – Pune or traveling Pune – Mumbai and connecting onto a Jet Airways onward flight from Mumbai.
Jet Airways will organize daily departure of two coaches from Pune to Mumbai in the morning and afternoon respectively.
Jet Airways’ coach service 9W 7403 will depart from Sassoon Road Pune at 0630 hrs and will be arriving at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport’s Domestic terminal at 1000 hrs.
In the afternoon, Jet Airways’ coach service 9W 7405 will depart Pune’s Sassoon Road at 1400 hrs and will be arriving at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport’s Domestic terminal at 1730 hrs.
Jet Airways will also organize daily departure of two coaches from Mumbai to Pune in the morning and evening respectively.
Jet Airways’ coach service 9W 7404 will depart Mumbai’s domestic airport at 1030 hrs and will be arriving in Pune at 1400 hrs.
Jet Airways’ coach service 9W 7406 will depart Mumbai domestic airport at 1900 hrs, and will be arriving in Pune at 2230 hrs.
Jet Airways passengers can either block their seats on the airline’s reservation systems, which will be distributed through the airline’s travel partners, or directly through Jet Airways’ offices.
