FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

A privately-held organization named Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm, LLC has contracted Kurt W. Peterson, Ph.D., Chair of the History Department at North Park University, Chicago to author a book detailing the history and documenting the ownership of a 4-acre tract of land in Coles County, Illinois that was once owned and worked by Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America.

This farm was purchased by Abraham Lincoln in 1841 from his father Thomas and step-mother Sarah Lincoln. It was part of the Lincoln’s original settlement in the state of Illinois.

Dan Arnold, owner of Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm, purchased the four-acre property to help charities, promote Lincoln’s character virtues to future generations and to promote tourism in his home state of Illinois. Dan Arnold is also the founder and CEO of Road Ranger, a leading Midwest retail petroleum convenience store with locations throughout the Midwest.

To achieve these objectives, the organization intends to sell recordable common undivided interests in the land along with the book to the public worldwide. It is the organization’s belief that this priceless historic asset should not be owned or kept private by any one party but rather, in tribute to Abraham Lincoln, should be owned by all people everywhere who love liberty unselfishly for mankind.

For more information, contact Dale Parsons, General Manager, Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm at dparsons@thelincolnfarm.org, or (847) 530-1146.
