Innominds Software (www.innominds.com) had organized a Blood Donation Camp in partnership with Red Cross, HYSEA and NASSCOM on April 17th, The World Hemophilia Day.
Haemophilia (or hemophilia) is a group of hereditary genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting or coagulation. Hemophilia is a silent killer with over 50,000 people affected in India. World Hemophilia Day is observed every April 17 to promote a global effort to secure appropriate care and treatment for a disease that is the oldest known inherited bleeding disorder caused by a defect in the genes.
Over 100 volunteers, including 86 Innominds employees, donated blood on this noble occasion.
The event was inaugurated at 11am by Divakar Tantravahi, the Innominds MD, who was also the first person to donate blood.
“We organized this blood donation camp to create awareness of Haemophelia among our employees and neighbors in Hi tech City and Banjara Hills”, said Divakar. ”We hope more and more organizations will come forward to support this cause and spread the awareness across the whole nation”, he added.
