BayView expands cruise offerings with Lake Minnetonka’s largest and finest luxury yachts

EXCELSIOR, MN – April 21, 2008 – BayView Event Center and Charter Cruises, producer of premier Lake Minnetonka-area events, announced that it has purchased the Queen of Excelsior luxury yachts from Queen of Excelsior, Inc., owners John Lambin and Franco Loris.

John Lambin offered, “As we moved towards retirement, we looked for the best charter operator who could continue our tradition of fine food and service. While we had a lot of interest in our company and our 20 year history of pampering customers, there was only one company that we felt could carry on our tradition. BayView was already right here in Excelsior Bay, hosting elegant events and providing exceptional food and service. To this day, we are the only charter company that regularly serves plated meals on our boats. BayView was doing this every day in their event center, so it was a natural fit.”

The natural synergy between BayView Event Center and Charter Cruises and the Queen of Excelsior includes:

• Larger Boats: With the 163 passenger QE and the 125 passenger QEII,
BayView can now offer its existing larger social and corporate customers even more cruising options
• Standard of Excellence: Both companies have a long-standing tradition of providing exceptional food and service.
• Natural Fit: Queen of Excelsior customers can now complement their cruises with land-based weddings, corporate meetings, and events produced by the same venue. Larger BayView customers now also have more cruise options.
No one else offers this ability to combine land-based events and cruises.
• Location: With the Queen of Excelsior yachts, BayView now operates 6 boats from Excelsior Bay and increases cruising capacity to over 500.

The Queen of Excelsior, like BayView, has its own private piers, so customers never have to wait to be “sequenced” at the municipal docks. The Queen of Excelsior boats will be maintained as a separate operation under its own name.
