Stampington & Company releases a fun new line of art stamps created by Artist Marylinn Kelly.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Laguna Hills, CA – July 21, 2008 – Artist Marylinn Kelly, featured in True Colors: A Palette of Collaborative Art Journals and Artists’ Journals and Sketchbooks: Exploring and Creating Personal Pages, is releasing a new art stamp line through Stampington & Company. The Un-Usual Suspects collection contains ten clear stamp sheets created from Kelly’s original sketches. This whimsical line includes costumed doodles, imaginative creatures and playful characters, all packaged with an exclusive coloring guide featuring Kelly’s tips for using colored pencils.

Capitalizing on the “doodle” trend in rubber stamping, Marylinn Kelly has created over 25 original sketches for The Un-Usual Suspects, her first with Stampington & Company. Each sheet from her new collection contains between three and four stamp images grouped into fun themes, including “A Knack for Accessories” and “Let’s Play Dress Up.”

Stampington & Company’s President and Publisher Kellene Giloff was immediately drawn to these creative characters, as well as the unique coloring techniques Kelly used to decorate them. “Marylinn’s preliminary stamp designs arrived in a package decorated with hand-colored versions of her characters, and they had such a vibrant and lighthearted essence that I knew our stampers would appreciate them,” says Giloff. “The colored pencil techniques that she used made her designs really pop, and by reviewing the technique sheet that is packaged along with every set, stampers will be able to learn how to achieve the same effects on their own.”

The ten Clearly Impressed stamp sheets from The Un-Usual Suspects collection will be available beginning in August. The retail price for the sheets ranges from $14.25 to $17.95, and they can be purchased directly from Stampington & Company at www.stampington.com or through select retailers.
