As a player in synthetic biology, GenScript is to be one of the Sponsors of SB4.0
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
PISCATAWAY, N.J., Aug. 27, 2008 – International research outsourcing company GenScript Corporation announces its support and sponsorship of SB4.0, the fourth annual international convention dedicated to the field of synthetic biology. SB4.0 is to be held on October 10-12th, 2008 at Hong Kong's University of Science and Technology.
Synthetic biology is a new branch of bioengineering emphasizing technologies that involve the synthesis of important biological molecules, such as DNA. It has applications in bioenergy, drug production, medicine, and the development of new materials. There have been three successful international synthetic biology conferences in the past: SB1.0 at MIT, SB2.0 at UC Berkeley, and SB3.0 at ETH Zurich, respectively.
GenScript has been a leader in the field of synthetic biology for many years. Many of its products and services involve gene synthesis, peptide design and synthesis, protein expression and refolding, large-scale protein production, large-scale polyclonal and monoclonal antibody production, express polyclonal antibody production, affinity purification, conjugation, fragmentation, and immunoassay development. GenScript also offers early drug discovery services, mammalian cell line development, immunoassay development, and patch clamp hERG safety testing. Furthermore, GenScript’s sensitive and efficient One-Step Western™ Kits, One-Step IP-Western Kits, and specialized PCR reagents have gradually gained recognition and favor in both industry settings and in the academic world.
