From “American Inventor” to Donny Deutsch’s “The Big Idea” TV Discovers “Everyday Edisons”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Santa Monica, CA, September 24 – T2 Design Corporation, featured on ABC’s hit TV series “American Inventor,” designed and prototyped dozens of new inventions for their clients and at least five of these inventions are going to production this year.

“Inventors are being continually inspired by the new array of invention television shows,” said Linda Shayne, a TV and film, writer and director. “The phenomenon is international.” Freemantle and Simon Cowell’s “American Inventor” TV series was very popular in the U.S. and season two recently aired in England. Also popular is CNBC’s TV series “The Big Idea” with Donny Deutsch. Donny’s show highlights successful inventors, as well as beginners seeking advice along the way. “Everyday Edisons” on PBS is a terrific informative invention competition show that is gaining momentum on TV and on the web. The Sony owned format “Dragons’ Den” TV series which has been produced in Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland and recently Nigeria and airing in the United States on BBC America, features inventors seeking backers from wealthy industrial titans.

President of T2 Design, Paul Berman, a University of Michigan graduate, is proud of his American Inventor first season finalist, Jodi Pliszka and her award winning invention the “Headline It!” After filming the TV show, Jodi continued to work directly with T2 Design to find the right manufacturer for her hat, helmet and wig liner product.

The “Headline It!” is now available at Walgreens.com, Target.com, Wilshire Wigs and several other venues. Jodi Pliszka exclaimed, “T2 Design is amazing! They are professional and on top of everything from patent searches to high tech prototyping and have a vast knowledge of the marketplace. Paul Berman is fair, objective and will tell you like it is. Plus, he is a genius engineer by trade...amazing to work with.”

Another T2 Design success is the exercise machine “The Body-Aline.” Inventors Jason Bowman and Robert Gearhart, both physical therapists, worked with Paul Berman and his team designing and prototyping this highly acclaimed posture-improvement equipment. “The Body-Aline” strengthens the back, promotes good posture and relieves pain and muscle tension in the back, neck and joints.

“The Body-Aline” is now in production and has been sold to chiropractors across the country and is featured in a nationally televised infomercial. Inventor Jason Bowman noted that T2 Design’s president, “Paul Berman has a friendly/quirky demeanor to him and right away we knew we had our man. He hammered out a prototype for us based entirely on a figment of our imagination and a handful of drawings. From that initial prototype, we were able to fine-tune the design and eventually create what Paul calls a "looks right, works right" prototype. Then we built hundreds more, put'em in boxes and sold them all. With the success of our test run- which was based on T2's initial design- we have since secured a manufacturer, received Medicare approval and signed onto a joint venture with a TV infomercial company!”

From exercise equipment to home furnishings, T2 Design’s inventions are in the marketplace. Kim Laney, a travel agent from, Warren, Ohio, came to T2 Design with an invention idea to make a versatile, adjustable purse and hat rack. T2 Design created a 3D computer model of the product, often known as a 3D CAD model. Then they generated several photo-realistic renderings from the model. T2 Design’s process of virtual prototyping was so impressive, that when Kim personally shopped her patented invention with buyers at the Chicago Housewares Trade Show, she immediately closed a license deal with the Whitmor Company for her “Adjustable Hat Rack.” Kim received a healthy monetary advance and a royalty. The Whitmor Adjustable Hat Rack is now being manufactured and sold at Space-Savers in their retail stores and on the web, as well as Amazon.com and others worldwide.

T2 Design clients Hans and Marion Kohte will be launching their invention at the MacWorld Conference & Expo in January 2009. For anyone using their iPod to view downloaded videos, the Kohtes’ invention, the “IN YOUR FACE viewbase” ™ is an innovative holder that brings an iPod up to eye level for convenient handsfree video viewing or handsfree mobile phone use anytime, anywhere. This iPod or iPhone accessory has a bottom base clamp that easily and securely attaches to many flat or round surfaces up to 2 inches in thickness. T2 Design Corporation designed, prototyped and set up manufacturing for this patent pending “IN YOUR FACE viewbase” ™.

Aura “Clip'n'Go”™ Mints has taken to the skies this year as part of United Airlines' Smart Pack meal program. The sugar-free mints with no artificial flavors or colors, from New Era Brands, will be available to over 2 million fliers each month as part of a "better-for-you foods" option on United Airlines flights. The clever, colorful, patent pending, key-ring detachable “Clip ‘n’ Go Mints” and “Clip ‘n’ Go Gum” containers were developed by Paul Berman and his team. The mints and gum are products are now being sold at major retailers such as Walgreens and Target, and it all started with an idea and a phone call to T2 Design.

T2 Design has been designing and prototyping inventions for over twenty years. “Often clients find out about T2 Design on the internet. Consultations are done over the phone or in person,” said President Paul Berman. “Inventors find us from around the world at www.T2design.com.”
