The exhibit is well timed to complement the growing interest around the HMS Beagle at the moment because the year 2010 is the bi-centennial year of Darwin's voyage when he wrote the ‘Origin of the Species.’

The proposed exhibit is said to be a beautiful recreation of HMS Beagle. The exhibit will subsequently be moved to the Darwin/Beagle exhibition in Cambridge, from July 2009 to November 2009, and its photographs are stated to be published in a book proposed to be released on the occasion.
