Stem Cell Voice of India is organising Stem Cell Conference in association with Medifest on December 6, 2008 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The conference will have experts from India's major institutions like AIIMS, ICMR, Sri GangaRam Hospital etc., who will present lectures on various aspects of stem cells.
Among the experts who will discus various aspects of stem cell science are Dr Geeta Jotwani, Assistant Director General, ICMR, who will talk about the Regulatory Issues related to Stem Cells while Stem Cell Therapy: Hope or Hype will be discussed by Dr Sujata Mohanty, Stem Cell Facility, AIIMS.
Other lectures include the discussion on the various challenges & opportunities involved in stem cell sector alongwith the clinical potential or therapeutic aspects of stem cells, especially for critical Limb Ischemia, Retinal Degeneration etc., with a view to find cure for the incurable diseases.
Medifest'08, is a premier medical & healthcare trade event offering a significant mileage to healthcare industry. Currently, over 30 institutions & hospitals are engaged in stem cell work and the Indian government had in the last three years invested $8 million on research activities in this field.
Hence with this conference summarizing the scientific & technological achievements in stem cell technology, we can envision the future prospects of progress, Mr Goel added.
