New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome presents free webinars focusing on TS and associated neurological disorders at no cost.

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome's Wednesday Webinar serie archives are now available online. If you missed a presentation, simply visit NJCTS.org and click on the Webinar link on the left-hand side of the NCTS homepage.

The following titles are currently available:

"A Nurse Talks about Tourette Syndrome" (January 2008)
Susan Wightman-Hentz, RN, MSN, CPNP explores some of the problems professionals encounter when diagnosing and providing treatments for the baffling disorder called Tourette Syndrome — especially when accompanying disorders are present

"Genetics and TS Research" (March 2008)
Jay Tischfield Ph.D., FACMG focuses on current research on inherited and other genetic factors involved in the causation of Tourette Syndrome. He describes the research projects supported by the New Jeresey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders and highlights opportunities to be come involved in this research.

"After the Diagnosis & Beyond the Tics: TS in Childhood and Adolescence" (April 2008)
Lawrence W. Brown M.D. discusses effective strategies for helping kids and teens with Tourette Syndrome, especially through their formative school years. Why and when tics should be treated is also explored.

"An Educators' Workshop Module 2" (October 2008)
Presenters Janine Howley, MA and Cheryl Ludwig, MA, CCC-SLP discuss approaches and strategies that enable educators (teachers, paraprofessionals, school nurses, guidance counselors, child study team members and others) to create a learning environment that supports the social, emotional and intellectual development of all students in the educational environment. The presentation also features a look at peer education and classroom management.

"Mental Health Treatment for Individuals with TS: What's Available and Can it Help?" (October 2008)
Lori Rockmore, Psy.D., Clinical Director of the Tourette Syndrome Therapeutic Program discusses how psychological services can benefit individuals with TS and the treatment options that are available.
