December 8 – European ski resorts are enjoying an earlier than usual snowfall, which has led online comparison site Carrentals.co.uk to advise tourists that demand for car hire is higher than average for this time of year.

Popular ski destinations in Austria, Italy and Switzerland are enjoying levels of snow up to 130cm, leading skiers to head for the pistes sooner in the calendar than usual.
Carrentals.co.uk managing director Gareth Robinson commented on the demand: “We're experiencing a spike in demand for car hire, which is unusual for this time of year. The heavy snowfall is creating an increased need for rental cars in ski resorts, so we are advising travellers to compare deals online and book early to prevent their paying a premium or missing out on the best deal possible.”
