ItzCash ties-up with MCGM to facilitate online payment of Property Tax & Water Bills

Mumbai, Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2009: - MCGM has entered into an alliance with ItzCash to facilitate payment of Property Tax and Water Bills. With this service ItzCash & MCGM envisages to bring convenience to the end user, who otherwise had to stand in long queues for payments. This service is simple and easy, the consumer has to just send an SMS to 57575 with the required details.

This service will help large population who do not have banking instruments nor internet facility to make payments conveniently via SMS. Through this facility and advanced technology, ItzCash aims to bring in a revolution and change in the lives of people by enabling faster and quicker mode of services.

ItzCash Card can be used for over 3000 other listed services and you can access this facility by purchasing the card from ItzCash stores which is available at more than 100000 locations. The card is available in a denomination of Rs.100 – Rs. 20,000.

If the bill amount is Rs. 500, then ItzCash Card of the same amount can be purchased. This cash card will have a 9-digit number (CCN). Users will be required to send an SMS to 57575 mentioning the 9-digit number (CCN) alongwith the bill number. This SMS will reach the MCGM’s IT control room, following which an SMS will be sent back mentioning the pending bill amount.
The user will then be required to send a second SMS with the bill number, the ItzCash Id alongwith the bill amount, the ItzCash Account Number and the ItzCash pass word to 57575, post which a SMS will be sent by MCGM confirming the bill payment stating the receipt number and the transaction id number.
