Mumbai, May 22, 2009 - As part of its 'Celebrating Womanhood' initiative, Jet Airways had embarked on an in-flight collection drive for five Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working on a range of women’s issues including health,education and empowerment, from March 1-March 8, 2009. These NGO's include Muktangan, Navjeet Community Health Center,Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP),SAHAS and Mijwan Welfare Society.
On Thursday, May 21, 2009, Jet Airways formally handed over the cheques to representatives of the five NGO's at a small ceremony at the airline's Litolier office.
Jet Airways ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ initiative, also offers a 10% discount on base fares for all ladies who book tickets on www.jetairways.com. This offer is valid also for groups having at least one lady travelling. This offer is valid till September 30,2009.
