MTDC Presents the city’s First Musical Fountain & Laser Show

Lights! Music! & Water! Mumbai gets a new Tourist Attraction Spot – At Bharat Van Gardens, Military road, Andheri (E)

Mumbai, August 1st, 2009: The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and MHADA have joined hands to develop city’s first Musical Fountain at the Bharat Van Gardens at Millitary Road, Marol, Andheri (E). A laser show also has been an attraction on the occasion. Bharat Van Musical Fountain is coming up with special efforts of Shri. Suresh Shetty, Minister of State for Tourism, GoM, and who is also a Local MLA .

Now, Mumbai too has a Musical Fountain like Mysore & Hyderabad at the Bharat Van Gardens spread across over Five acres. There will be a NANA-NANI park, Rose-garden, Jogging track, toilets, and the special arrangements for children like swings, chess-boards, sports ground. It will be a great experience to watch the laser show on a big water screen of 108 sq. meter. also sitting by the fountain going high upto 16 meters dancing on the musical themes would be a pleasing moment after a hectic routine of the day. M/s Premiere irrigation has supplied and erected the fountain and the musical show. The Tourism Department of GoM has sanctioned Rs.7.33 crore for this first ever project gifted to the city. MHADA is the implementing authority and it will maintain the beautiful garden. The architectural and electrical systems are arranged by MHADA and MTDC assisted in erecting the musical fountain and laser show which is the part of attraction in entire project.

On 1st August 2009 at 07.30 pm at the Bharat Van Gardens at Millitary Road, Marol, Andheri (E).inaugurated at the hands of Shri Gurudas Kamat, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Communication & I.T., Government Of India., Shri. Suresh Shetty,Hon’ble Minister of State for Tourism,GoM,Shri.Jayraj Phatak Commissioner BMC,Mumbai was graced the occasion with their auspicious presence.
