The court determined that the title industry should not be liable for losses incurred by purchasers of phony mortgage loans in the secondary market. In 2009, Goff and Jones were named “Lawyers of the Year” for the Sacramento region in the Commercial Litigation and Real Estate categories, respectively. The 2010 Best Lawyers “Lawyers of the Year” are not yet determined.
