FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

GARDEN CITY, Ga. – Garden City recently launched a new Web site, which showcases the quality of life in Garden City and features handy information about city services, municipal departments, upcoming events and more. The new site, which is located at www.gardencity-ga.gov, offers expanded information as well as user-friendly functions that provide superior government access for Garden City residents.

“This new Web site serves as an enhanced communication tool for Garden City citizens,” said Brian Johnson, the municipality’s City Manager. “I think our residents will be quite pleased with the improvements and with the new tools, information and services available online. Our new site offers greater transparency and increased responsiveness by city government.”

The Web site is part of Garden City’s re-branding campaign and includes the municipality’s new city seal and logo. Developed by Ben Brengman, Garden City’s information technology director, the site enables local residents to download forms, check the calendar for upcoming events and file service orders electronically. The site also features information about the new Town Center on Dean Forest Boulevard, the Garden City Visitors Bureau and updates regarding the latest news in Garden City. Future tools planned for the site include the ability to pay utility bills and speeding tickets online and to watch videos of City Council meetings.

“The new site is a great tool for residents and businesses in Garden City,” said information technology director Ben Brengman. “It’s designed to be more user-friendly and more appealing across the board.”
