The respiratory therapy course provides a unique combination of coursework and practical training in the subject.
The program, which is offered at both associate’s and bachelor’s level, seeks to train students in this specialized branch of healthcare involved with diagnoses, treatment, and care of patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders under the supervision of doctors. Graduates of this program are eligible to appear for both Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) examination required to practice as a respiratory therapist in 48 U.S. states.
The bachelor’s degree in respiratory care program will equip students with functional knowledge and understanding of respiratory care theories and practice. The graduates of this respiratory care program will also learn management concepts and other non-clinical aspects of healthcare industry as part of the curriculum.
