Agia Napa’s vibrant music scene, diving spots and clear turquoise waters prove winning combination
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
Two beaches in Cyprus featured in popular travel website Trip Advisor’s list of "World’s Best Beaches" for 2011. Cypriot beach Agia Napa landed the number one spot on the Top Ten European Beach Destinations list, beating Skiathos in Greece (second) and Protaras (also in Cyprus) in third place.
Agia Napa's vibrant music and scene and nightlife, boat tours and diving spots, combined with its clear turquoise waters and soft sandy beaches, made it the top choice in the European category.
Protaras beach placed third with its family-friendly vibe and laid back and tranquil atmosphere. Situated on the sandy coastline of Cyprus's Fig Tree Bay, the glorious beach is the main attraction with its crystal clear waters ideal for family outings.
“Within three and a half hours flying time from most Arab cities, Cyprus, though small in size, is big in variety, offering a range of climate types in close proximity that are extremely easy to access.”
The history and culture of the island’s ancient civilization is an even greater plus point. An ideal all year round climate, beautiful scenery, and traditionally hospitable people have made the Mediterranean island paradise an increasingly popular tourist destination.
