Encap Donates to the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees

2012-04-20 Print

In honor of Earth Day, Encap has made a donation to the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees, an organization that helps alleviate problems causing the decrease in Honey Bees.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

Green Bay, WI (April 2012) – With the approach of Earth Day 2012, Encap is thrilled to celebrate another successful year of contributing to a healthier planet. This year, in celebration of Earth Day, they have donated to The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees.

Most of the world’s food plants are pollinated by honey bees, making them an integral part of the world’s food supply chain. Over the past twenty years, many factors such as the use of pesticides and herbicides, and other habitat damaging activities, have caused honey bee numbers to decrease drastically.

The Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees supports research, education, improvements, and advancements in honey bee culture in order to help lessen the problems faced by these little critters. In addition to pollinating food plants, honey bees also play an important role in pollinating other plants and flowers that make our environment healthy and beautiful.

Encap is proud to make a difference in some small way by improving the environment with products that not only foster pollination, but are also great for the environment, diverting waste from landfills, and leading to healthier soil.

About Us
Encap is an environmentally friendly company that makes earth-friendly products from natural ingredients and materials that would otherwise go into landfills. Since our founding 13 years ago, we’ve diverted over 83 million pounds of wet paper from landfills, by using it to create earth-friendly lawn and garden products. We work with local paper companies to take by-products that would normally go into landfills, and turn them into consumer friendly products. These mulch products are not only made from environmentally friendly materials, but are also good for the environment because they lead to healthier soil, lush lawns, and beautiful gardens by using the natural processes of the soil, not harsh toxic chemicals. In addition, our products are easy to use, and safe on feet and paws! For more information on Encap products, visit www.Encap.net .
