Portland First City In U.S. To Feed Starving Artists (And Their Cats)

Portland is the first city in the United States with a program to feed starving artists (and their cats). The nonprofit Starving Artist Program was founded by Art In Portland and is co-sponsored by the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division and Trader Joe's specialty foods. The program supplies gourmet and specialty food to starving artists (and their cats).

Portland, OR -- Portland has the first program in the U.S. to provide food to starving artists (and their cats).

Art in Portland was founded in 2013 by local senior Portland artists and performing artists to provide an art destination in outer Southeast Portland including an art museum, performing arts center and classrooms for caregivers to take seniors and special needs and gifted children to be taught art -- by artists ...and, provides food and art supplies to starving artists.

The nonprofit Starving Artist Program was founded by Art In Portland and is sponsored by the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division with gourmet food donated by Trader Joe's grocery.
