Comedian Evan Wecksell Announces 2015 'Trumptastic' Tour

2015-08-20 Print

Evan Wecksell hits the road again with a ten-show, ten-state tour that features the return of an updated "College The Musical: A Musical About College" wife Kelly Meyersfield.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA -- One year removed from going viral with WWE-sanctioned child Beckett Sage, Comedian Evan Wecksell is back making headlines, this time with wife Kelly Meyersfield.

While Beckett knows his WWE entrances themes which has amassed over 1 million views (google him) and thousands of new Facebook fans, Evan and wife, actress/singer/writer Kelly Meyersfield, look to steal some spotlight this fall.

Wecksell and Meyersfield wrote "College The Musical" by pooling their original musical material together and writing a story around it. The show is a tale that surrounds naive freshman Amy who get hits with some college-based drama at school, however the musical is an uproarious comedy first, in the style of Trainwreck and Superbad. Now in 2015, the show is getting a storyline upgrade.

"The show has the feel of [Saturday Night Live] with the issues of an after school, college-aged special," notes Wecksell, "but thanks to the suggestion of one college we are performing at this fall, we are making the show more current as we have added in lessons in social media, personal identity and campus involvement."

The Mount Aloysius show joins an upcoming performance at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire as its confirmed dates.

Meyersfield knows the show fits best for Welcome Week. "The students are new on campus and the issues we bring up are things they can run into," Meyersfield points out. "It's also a chance to see Evan as a blonde bimbo and me as a Mexican fella."

Wecksell's solo shows kick off with a rare emcee appearance. Known for assisting his Theta Chi Fraternity, Evan will be hosting a car show for their CW Post colony as the group raises awareness for PTSD.

The tour also includes a return to Edison State Community College in Piqua, Ohio as well as his first trip to Fort Collins, Colorado at Colorado State University.
