African Health Now hosts inaugural benefit in New York City to raise awareness and funds for health care programs and their first mobile clinic to serve men, women and children of sub-Saharan Africa.

Emerging International Non-Profit Host Inaugural Benefit
(New York, NY) The worlds of art, commerce and health will celebrate at the inaugural African Health Now (AHN) “Gift of Life” Cocktail Benefit on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Chelsea Piers’ Sunset Terrace in New York City. The inaugural benefit will honor three, diverse professionals for their philanthropic commitments to the African community including: one of the most important contemporary African artists of the 21st century Wangechi Mutu will receive the Humanitarian award; award winning marketing executive for Apple/I-Tunes Bozoma Saint John will receive the Leadership award and international podiatric surgeon Dr. Samuel F. Quartey, DPM, PC, will receive the Health Advocate award.
The “Gift of Life” Cocktail Benefit is an evening hosted by African Health Now’s committed Board of Directors with music by celebrity DJ D-Nice, exclusive silent auction, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Since 2006, the organization has impacted 20,000 men, women and children across Ghana. The inaugural “Gift of Life” Cocktail Benefit proceeds will support AHN’s 2016-17 programming and will be the seed funding for African Heath Now’s first-ever Mobile Clinic with goals to deploy in 2018.
