On November 18, 2015, the Charlotte Chapter of Risk Management Association will hold its signature Fall Event Luncheon at the Queens College Sports Complex in Charlotte, NC’s South Park area. The event will feature North Carolina Bankers Association’s President and CEO, Peter Gwaltney, who will discuss “Current State and Outlook of the Banking Industry.”

This year, RMA Charlotte’s signature fall event will feature Peter Gwaltney, President and CEO of the North Carolina Bankers Association. During the lunch meeting sponsored by PayNet, Peter will discuss “Current State and Outlook of the Banking Industry.”
The event is being held at the Queens College Sports Complex at 2229 Tyvola Road in Charlotte, NC. The event will begin at Noon AM ET with onsite registration and networking beginning at 11:30 AM ET. Cost is $20.00 for RMA Associate Members and $25.00 for Non-Members. Attendees may register on the RMA Charlotte Chapter website by Tuesday, November 12, 2015.

Peter Gwaltney, President and CEO of the North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) Bio--
Peter Gwaltney became President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) in January of 2015. As the head of NCBA, Gwaltney leads the development and implementation of member relations and support, Association personnel and resources to maximize its effectiveness, as well as act as an advocate representing the interest of the NCBA’s mission and its membership.
Prior to joining the NCBA, Gwaltney spent more than 16 years in various leadership roles with the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA), serving as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for nine years and CEO for seven years. Following his service with the LBA, he served as chairman, President and CEO of the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee for seven years.
Gwaltney has served on numerous boards at the state and national level, including the American Bankers Association (ABA) State Association Division Executive Committee, the ABA Community Bankers Council and the ABA Government Relations Council, among others. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in general studies, with an emphasis in economics and finance, from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Gwaltney and his wife, Ginny, reside in Raleigh with their youngest son. The Gwaltneys have six children ages 16 to 28 and two grandchildren.
