2015 Rural Smart Grid Summit Award Winners Announcement

SEDC/Futura, SoCore Energy, and AT&T Win 2015 RSGS Vendor Awards

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Palm Springs, CA - November 17. The 2015 Rural Smart Grid Summit (RSGS) in cooperation with Zpryme announces the award-winning vendors at the sixth annual RSGS held November 1-3, 2015 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa.

Rural Smart Grid Summit 2015 had forty-one participating vendors competing for three award categories (BEST SMART GRID SOLUTION, SMART GRID VENDOR TO WATCH & BEST OVERALL BOARDROOM PRESENTATION). These awards are voted on by the one hundred plus utility executives in attendance representing electric cooperatives from across North America.

Colin Martin, Smart Grid Summits SVP of Sales & Vendor Participation said, "These award categories have become extremely competitive over the years, compelling our participating vendors and sponsors to engage with the hosted utility executive audience in an extraordinary way, not common in the event industry”.

SEDC/Futura won the 2015 RSGS Best Smart Grid Product or Solution award. The top three vendors nominated for the Best Smart Grid Product or Solution award were SEDC/Futura, Sensus and S&C Electric.

SoCore Energy won the 2015 RSGS Vendor To Watch award. The top three vendors nominated for being the best up-and-coming vendor with the most innovative Rural Smart Grid Summit solution were SoCore, Gridmates and Behavioral Recognition Systems (BRS Labs).

AT&T won the 2015 RSGS Best Overall Boardroom Presentation award. The top three vendors nominated for having the Best Overall 2015 RSGS Boardroom Presentation were AT&T, N-Dimension Solutions and SEDC/ Futura.

The Smart Grid Summits (SGS) consist of four annual utility business development events called the Municipal Smart Grid Summit (MSGS), the Smart Water Summit (SWS), the Rural Smart Grid Summit (RSGS) and the Gas Utility Summit (GUS). As exclusive and invitation only events, the SGS produce private boardroom format events that offer participating technology vendors access to the executive leadership of North America’s public power, rural electric cooperative, gas and water utilities. Technology companies interested in participating in the 2015 Smart Water Summit, 2015 Rural Smart Grid Summit, 2015 Gas Utility Summit, and/or the 2015 Municipal Smart Grid Summit should contact Colin Martin at cmartinsmartgridsummits.com or by phone at (864) 751-4812.
