About The Turks and Caicos Islands American Football Academy
TCIAFA is a budding, non-profit organization created to introduce the island’s youth to the amazing game of American football. What started as just a small vision has now manifested into something extraordinary for the community of the Turks and Caicos Islands. With a continuously growing number of participants, the academy currently mentors over 100 adolescents, ages 7-18.
Established in 2014, TCIAFA was conceived to be a community organization built on providing pathways and opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable. As mentors they promote fitness and instill important life skills including teamwork, leadership, discipline and individual skill development. The principle goal is to provide underprivileged local and regional adolescents with a foundation to be successful in life. The academy enables the youth to be physically active and learn, all while enjoying one of America’s greatest pastimes.
