Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: D.O.P.E (Doing our Part Eclectically) will be hosting its First Annual Benefit Gala and Award Ceremony at Romano’s Catering Hall at 1523 E Wingohocking Street, Philadelphia, PA on July 14th from 7PM – 11PM. D.O.P.E will be awarding nearly 25 Leaders for their Selfless acts of service and benevolence in their respective communities. Although D.O.P.E is still in its Nominee Selection Process; Broadcast Journalists, church Leaders, Athletes and Celebrities are among the Nominees.
D.O.P.E is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization founded in 2014 with the Mission to strengthen its local community through social; economic; educational; Health; Leadership Development and advocacy services, and have been featured on NBC 10 News, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Solomon Jones Radio Show on 107.9FM
“I am really excited about this event as it will restore confidence in those aspiring to become Community Leaders and Volunteers,” says Jai Crabbe, Founder and President of D.O.P.E. Proceeds from the 1st Annual “Dope Affair” Benefit Gala and Award Ceremony will go towards obtaining a Community Service Center and Transitional Home to serve the Homeless Population which devastates the downtown Philadelphia area.
Local Rapper, Meek Mill; Doug Pederson of the Philadelphia Eagles, Ben Simmons of the 76ers, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney; and Community Leader, Pastor Alan Waller, are among this year’s Invitees, which are not yet confirmed, to name a few.
