On May 16th the Church of Scientology hosted a reception and tour of the Historic Fort Harrison for members of the hospitality field, thanking them for making the Tampa Bay area a hospitable place to be. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The reception was held in the Fort Harrison’s Crystal Ballroom with more than 60 guests in attendance including representatives from hotels such as the Sandpearl Resort, Wyndham Grand, Residence Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton and local restaurants.
Lisa Mansell, the Public Affairs Director for the Church, welcomed the guests and thanked them for their service to the more than 12,000 tourists who come to Clearwater for Scientology religious services.
Guests enjoyed a buffet of heavy hors d’ oeuvres and beverages. The Church’s in-house Flag Band provided entertainment with special guest, Hana-li. Many guests networked or just kicked back and enjoyed the hospitality.
Following the performance, guests toured the Fort Harrison, the Church of Scientology’s International religious retreat.
“The Fort Harrison has a unique role in the international scope of Scientology,” said Ms. Mansell. “Through these doors, we welcome guests from more than 60 countries every year. Every Scientologist in the world wants to come to Clearwater at some point and the Fort Harrison is the historic and iconic retreat for Scientologists who come to Clearwater.”
One attendee exclaimed, “I am so glad that I was able to attend – thank you for inviting me. I have never been here before and this place is just beautiful. I really enjoyed myself!”
