Dan Dunlop, principal of Jennings, the North Carolina-based healthcare marketing agency, has been selected to serve as a judge for the 2018 WEGO Health Awards. Since its inception in 2011, the goal of the WEGO Health Awards has been to recognize and champion the work of patient advocates, influencers and experts helping others and transforming healthcare. The awards competition is organized by WEGO Health, whose mission is to empower patient leaders. Dunlop joins a select panel of judges with recognized contributions to healthcare and patient advocacy.
"I look forward to learning more about the incredible work patient advocates are doing across the industry and assessing their impact. I consider it an honor to be invited to join the judging panel," said Dunlop.
Dunlop, who has been with Jennings for 23 years, also serves as a judge for the National Health Information Awards along with a number of regional awards competitions. He is a regular contributor to leading healthcare industry publications such as Healthcare Marketing Report, Strategic Healthcare Marketing, Healthcare Strategy Alert, Spectrum, eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, and many more. Dunlop currently serves on the New England Society for Healthcare Communications Board of Directors and was the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Evans Houghton award, recognizing lifetime achievement and significant contributions to the field of healthcare marketing, communications, and public relations. He is also co-chair of the 2018 Digital Engagement Task Force of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.
