New, expanded Frankenmuth Cheese Haus plans Nov. 1 grand opening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

FRANKENMUTH, Mich. – Oct. 16, 2018 – Just in time for the upcoming holidays, the new and expanded Frankenmuth Cheese Haus, 545 S. Main St., Frankenmuth, will be welcoming guests. The grand opening celebration begins on Thursday, Nov. 1, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. and continues throughout the month of November.
Visitors on 11/1 will receive free gifts and can partake in a $150 gift basket giveaway, containing a variety of Cheese Haus products and gifts. The Cheese Haus will also be handing out a limited number of gift certificates, redeemable January through March 2019.

To continue the celebration, “tasty artistry” awaits guests Thursday, Nov. 1 through Saturday, Nov. 3 as the Cheese Haus welcomes renowned cheese carver Sarah Kaufmann. Kaufmann, who has been featured on network TV, Food Network Magazine, and listed in Guinness World Records, will be in-store carving a customized sculpture out of a 1,000-pound mammoth block of Wisconsin cheddar cheese along with other mammoth blocks of different cheese varieties.

Product demonstrations, free samples galore, and live music will all be part of the fun over the weekend, with special events planned throughout the entire month of November.
The Cheese Haus, which offers more than 150 varieties of cheeses daily, is a top tourist destination for generations of travelers. To accommodate more visitors, the Cheese Haus launched an expansion project earlier this year from its current 2,700 square feet to a new 16,000 square-foot Bavarian-themed building.

The new, expanded location offers more room for product sales and demonstrations. The second-floor tasting room/ hospitality area will be able to accommodate groups, motor coach travelers and special events when it is completed in 2019. The new 74 foot onion dome tower will house figurine movements called a Figurinespiel, with an animated story about how popular cheeses are made from around the world, and a sundial.

The Frankenmuth Cheese Haus specializes in the production and sale of imported and domestic cheese. Cheese Haus artisans make homemade cheese spreads including garlic, horseradish, bacon, jalapeno, smoky jalapeno, fiery jalapeno, and a creamy blue cheddar spread. In-store, the staff also creates delicious specialty flavored cheeses including chocolate, chocolate mint, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry, and blueberry cheese. These many cheese options are complemented by an abundant variety of crackers, meat, mustards/sauces, and gadgets galore. A special Cheese Haus team also runs the Cheese Trap food truck launched in the summer 2017. Learn more at http://www.frankenmuthcheesehaus.com
