CHICAGO - Siebel Institute of Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of John Hannafan to Vice President, assuming responsibility for the operational management of campus education as well as general day-to-day school operations.
“John has done a terrific job as Director of Education, preserving the legacy of the school by putting students first and providing a quality educational experience for both the Siebel and World Brewing Academy (WBA) programs,” said Brent Jordan, President and General Manager of Lallemand Brewing. “Additionally, while acting as interim President, he successfully maintained the direction of the school while managing operations and nurturing existing and new relationships with both the craft brewery segment and large global players as well.”
Hannafan, who joined Siebel in 2013 as director of education for both Siebel Institute and the World Brewing Academy (a partnership between Siebel Institute and Doemens Academy of Munich, Germany), brings more than 13 years’ experience in the brewing industry, including 7 years’ ownership of John Hannafan and Associates, a brewing and brewery consultancy business where he created recipes, designed breweries, oversaw installations, along with commissioning systems and executing brewer and staff training. Hannafan also served as interim President of Siebel Institute from June 2017 through January 2018.
Before joining Siebel, Hannafan worked in advertising/design and marketing, creating awardwinning ad campaigns and corporate identity packages for such entities as the Tribune Company, (Chicago Tribune, Tribune Media and WGN-TV), McDonald's, and United Airlines.
