After difficult year, a strong comeback for community favorite FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
The St. Louis Pet Expo returned for it's 9th year on Saturday, and the theme of this year's event fit well with the season of Thanksgiving. "We are truly thankful to be back" said Sheila Rilenge, President of the St. Louis Pet Expo.
"We are thankful to the vendors that participated in the event, the rescues that brought pets needing homes and to the attendees that donated so much food to pets in need."
After a difficult year that included the cancellation of the 2017 event, producing the event was often an uphill climb. "There are people that want to see you fail", says Rilenge. "But there are far more that want to see you succeed and capture victory from the jaws of defeat. Those are the people we stayed focused on all year."
The food was divided between all the local rescues that participated in the Pet Expo. "We have enough food to probably feed feral cats all winter" said Dawn Edwards of Stray Haven Rescue. "It is a true blessing, especially with the cold weather already here".
The 9th St. Louis Pet Expo was held at the Olympia Athletic and Events Center in St. Charles on Saturday, November 17th, 2018. |
