Ars Musica Chorale continues its 53rd season with its signature An Ars Musica Holiday featuring the voices of the New Jersey State Children’s Chorus and the Ars Musica Brass and Percussion Ensemble. The performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
The concert will take you on a journey of music composed over a thousand years, including favorite Christmas carols, spirituals, Hanukkah songs, and music with brass and percussion to get you into a festive holiday spirit. Works to be performed include Latvian composer ?riks Ešenvalds’ “Stars,” Benjamin Britten’s “Balulalow,” Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne’s “Let It Snow,” and new compositions and arrangements by Music Director James Kennerley.
Advance tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and those with special needs (Add $5 if purchased at the door.), and $45 for premium seating (front rows). Children under 18 are free. Established in 1965, Ars Musica Chorale is one of the oldest and finest choral groups in Bergen County, well-known for presenting outstanding and unique programs. Under the direction of Music Director James Kennerley, Ars Musica Chorale performs four major concerts annually in Bergen County. They have performed in Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Finland and Russia.
