Sunshine Drapery and Interior Design announces the appointment of Katie Merkt as Design Assistant.
Merkt will assist the Production Manager with pricing and ordering, assist in the senior living and commercial sales departments as well as work with residential customers at Sunshine’s Sunset Hills location.
Merkt is a May, 2018, graduate of Missouri State University where she received a degree in Interior Design and Construction Management. She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, American Society of Interior Designers and Springfield Design Association, and interned with home builder, McBride and Sons, where she helped stage homes. Merkt currently resides in St. Charles, MO.

She has a demonstrated a thorough understanding of interior design principles and practices, and will serve in various capacities, from picking fabrics, to reviewing floor plans, and submitting window covering bids.
