Garvey’s Office Products announces A Safe Haven Foundation as its 2nd quarter Recycle for a Reason recipient for 2019. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
A Safe Haven Foundation joins the ranks of Garvey’s Office Products’ Recycle for a Reason Program’s recipients.
Established in 2007, Recycle for a Reason has raised over $337,000 for various charities throughout Chicagoland. Donations such as used toners, old electronics and flattened cardboard are collected throughout the year. Through Garvey’s Office Products’ recycling partners, the used items are exchanged for money, and that money is donated to the selected charity of the quarter.
Effective April 1, 2019 – June 30, 2019, all donations received will benefit A Safe Haven Foundation (ASHF). ASHF is a not for profit social enterprise that helps Chicagoans aspire and transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. ASHF leads the fight to end poverty through case management, shelter, food, treatment, education, job training, access to employment and affordable housing.
Some of ASHF’s programs and events include: Its Youth Summer Programs, which provides support and resources to the children and teens affected by homelessness, a 5k Walk/Run to End Homelessness to empower those affected and raise awareness of their cause, and Housing Services, which provides access to over 34 locations for the homeless to live.
