Ars Musica Chorale holds Summer Sings


Ars Musica Chorale will introduce its 2019/2020 season by hosting two Summer Sings in June and July.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT


The first will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 7:30 pm at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, NJ. The music to be performed will be Dido & Aeneas, an opera composed by Henry Purcell, and the George Frideric Handel Coronation Anthems.

The second will take place on Tuesday, July 23, 7:30 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ridgewood, NJ. The music to be performed is Beethoven’s Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, and Messe Solennelle by Hector Berlioz.

The evenings are open to amateur and experienced singers, as well as listeners. All are encouraged to attend. Scores will be provided, or you can bring your own. A $10 donation is requested. Refreshments will be served.

Established in 1965, Ars Musica Chorale is one of the oldest and finest choral groups in Bergen County, well-known for presenting outstanding and unique programs. Ars Musica has performed throughout New Jersey and New York in such venues as Symphony Hall (Newark), Carnegie Hall, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, as well as throughout Europe, Great Britain, and in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The Mission of Ars Musica Chorale is to craft excellent programs of a wide range of choral music; to provide singers with challenging, instructive, and rewarding opportunities to make music together; and to enrich and educate the community by offering the excitement of live performance to a broad audience.

Under the direction of Music Director James Kennerley, Ars Musica Chorale performs four major concerts annually in Bergen County. Both venues are wheelchair accessible. Ars Musica Chorale welcomes and auditions singers throughout the season.
