Brokerage Growth Leads to New Location, Expanded Services
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
In 2004, Ryan Gable began StartingPoint Realty with a simple mission: to provide education and guidance to first time home buyers, who were often underserved and under-prepared for the market.
“When I was a first time buyer, I had no idea what I was getting into,” explains Gable. “Home buying was a frustrating, stressful process, and my agent wasn’t too concerned about making it easier. This experience, along with my passion to educate and the desire to start a business, inspired the idea to create a real estate company for first time buyers. I soon obtained my real estate license, and made it my mission to help first time buyers succeed.”
Gable made good on his intentions, creating free first time home buying seminars open to the public. The seminars became so popular that they were soon offered at multiple locations throughout Chicagoland. Recently, on-site corporate home buying seminars became available for employee groups, with informative presentations taking place during office lunch hours.
The success of well-informed first time buyers soon evidenced another need: educational real estate services for first time home sellers. “Real estate education isn’t just for home buyers,” says Gable. “First time home sellers have a lot at stake. And often, the process is emotional for them. They need more than an agent who puts the listing online and then disappears. In this industry, highly sophisticated agents go after the luxury market because that’s where the big money is. I’ve always wanted to bring that sophistication to the entry-level market, where it’s needed most.”
StartingPoint Realty gradually offered home selling services to previous home buyer clients. Over the years, the educational approach to real estate services expanded into areas such as downsizing home sellers and estate sales.
“What all these situations have in common, is the need for a true real estate counselor,” Gable states. “I’ve seen an evolution in the real estate industry where discount brokers have entered the market broadcasting that they can save the client money. The sad truth is that these companies are only door openers, focused only on the number of transactions. Our mission and values are completely opposite from this emerging trend. There is a large segment of home buyers and sellers that need hand holding, education, and their phone call answered on a Friday night. They want a company they can trust and that company is StartingPoint Realty. Our reputation is built on this trust and we will continue to strive to go above and beyond for our clients.”
As business has grown, so has StartingPoint Realty’s team of agents and brokers. Several new hires came on board in recent months. The increase in personnel necessitated a change of suburban headquarters, which is now located at 1515 E. Woodfield Road, Suite 910 in Schaumburg. A second office and educational center is located at 3224 N. Damen Avenue in Chicago.
Gable is pleased with the direction of the company. “We have agents with vast neighborhood expertise throughout Chicago and the Northwest suburbs. Each one is committed to helping our clients understand the market and their opportunities in it. Our focus on education and service has rewarded us with loyal customers and a strong referral businesses. Our 5-star reviews on Yelp speak for themselves; those testimonials define our success.”
