Dr Evrad Kameugne Kounchou has been praised by Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, on behalf of her Majesty, The Queen for his ‘exceptional contribution to life in our great city’. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT
In a letter dated 12 February 2021 Sir Kenneth wrote:
‘Dear Evrad, as her Majesty The Queen’s personal representative in Greater London, an important part of my role is to recognise and thank those who have made an exceptional contribution to life in our great city.
It has come to my attention that you are one of those people who have long gone above and beyond the call of duty, to help others during the COVID 19 pandemic. I am therefore writing to personally thank you for all of your efforts and to encourage you to continue making a positive difference to Londoners .
In these difficult times, communities need selfless people like you, to help us to maintain our spirit, to get through the challenges and hopefully, to come out the other side as an even stronger and more inclusive society’.
Dr Evrad Kameugne Kounchou said ‘I am very humbled and pleased that my work has been recognised. I am pleased that we have been able to support the community to our best ability during this extraordinary time and our work is not finished yet’.
Evrad Kounchou demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to various communities as well as to the general public and made a major contribution to the country at a national Level
He takes it upon herself to provide exceptional contribution, support and service to life in our great city. He had gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others during the COVID 19 pandemic. He has risen magnificently to the challenges of the year, and is known as an indomitable spirit.
The 35 years old Metropolitan police community based and Surge volouteers Safety Evrad Kounchou provide support for the most vulnerable members of our society around the United Kingdom.
Even more important, Mr Kounchou Founded Mutual aid disinfection. A group of volunteers who frequently disinfected the public spaces in the UK for free during the Pandemic COVID-19 outbreak. Mutual Aid Disinfection used self-sourced equipment, targeting parks, buses, trains and streets to reduce the rate of infection.
His dedication and selflessness are inspiring.
He has also served as an extraordinary role model to senior members of the UK government as part of a cross government team to urgently and centrally source much needed personal protective equipment ( ppe) supplies for the NHS front line emergency COVID 19 response. The accomplishment was great and would not have been able to respond to the challenge and meet the needs of NHS and frontlines workers.
