THE QUEEN'S COIFFEUR or Smuggler?

A diamond and pearl pendant belonging to Marie Antoinette just sold for $36 million at Sotheby's in Geneva.

The jewelry just sold was smuggled out of France to England by the Marie Antoinette's famous hairdresser and inventor of the over-the-top pouf, Leonard Autier, during the French Revolution. The story of the famous coiffeur is now told in the new historical novel, THE QUEEN'S COIFFEUR, by Will Bashor, a francophile and author of several award-winning studies of the last Queen of France.
