Vasuki Cement opens its first plant in Morbi — four grades of BIS-certified cement
The Morbi facility is already supplying OPC, PPC, PSC, and GGBS to contractors, builders, and infrastructure developers across Gujarat
Vasuki Cement began commercial production at its Morbi plant in January 2026, the same month the company was incorporated. Built across 17,000 square metres in Village Varshamedi, Taluka Maliya, the plant was engineered for high-volume, multi-grade output from day one.
The choice of Morbi was deliberate. The district offers direct access to raw material supply chains, a thick trader and contractor network, and road and rail links. Those fundamentals are not easy to assemble in a single location, and for a first plant, they are not optional.
Every batch that leaves the facility is tested in-house and carries BIS certification. The workforce is drawn substantially from the Morbi district and the surrounding talukas. The plant's promoters bring over two decades of hands-on experience in cement procurement, trading, and logistics through the wider Vasuki Group.
Product range
Four cement grades, each engineered for a distinct construction context:
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) - High early strength for structural frames, precast work, and projects with tight programme schedules
Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) - Lower hydration heat, less shrinkage cracking, and better durability in Gujarat's hot and humid conditions
Portland Slag Cement (PSC) - Tight microstructure that blocks chloride and sulphate ingress — built for coastal zones and chemically aggressive soils
Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) - Mass pours, large foundations, and long-span infrastructure where 90-day strength outweighs 28-day gain
