The Superwomen Campaign commends an array of twelve selected Influential, Inspiring and Successful British Asian Superwomen

On the occasion of International Women’s Day this Friday 8th March 2019 The Superwomen Campaign commends an array of twelve selected Influential, Inspiring and Successful British Asian Superwomen who have broken the stigma for women with the same ethnic heritage, and impacted Industry sectors from Media, Law, Music across to Acting and Health.
The Superwomen Campaign shares beautiful images to celebrate these women alongside their journey in a storytelling piece of how their High Profile and Celebrity status has been recognised in their specific Industry sector and how they have broken through challenges to receiving their successes today. Some of the women share stories of how it was to be one of very few or the first British Asian Women to break barriers in their sector, especially now to evolve and open the doors for our next generation sharing valued advice. And some women already whom are our next generation and are leading the path for our next.
The Cre8ive Circle is a platform which recognises British Asian Talent and headed The Superwomen Campaign collaborating with The Inspired Business Woman a platform who share real stories of real women to inspire the next generation of women leaders in Business.
The Powerhouse Team for the campaign included Internationally renowned designer and Superwoman herself Mani Kohli of Khubsoorat Collection, who has been in the Fashion industry for over 40 years and paved the way for many, who dressed each of the Superwomen in her unique designs. Roshni Ladva from Roshni Hair & Makeup, who has built a successful business is globally recognised for enhancing women's beauty and worked on glamming up our Superwomen for the shoot alongside Creative Director Anisha Vasani from Anisha Vasani Creates, a Creative Consultancy. Anisha who is recognised for her renowned campaigns in the industry, was also one of the youngest editors of a globally recognised Asian publication for ten years. Saran Kohli who has an established background within menswear aided on the Art Direction of the campaign shoot. Creative Entrepreneur Am Golhar who is recognised for building her success in the Creative Industry from a young age interviewed the twelve superwomen to share their journey as her mission aligns to igniting women leaders.
Celebrating the legacy of these women, the campaign was shot at Brocket Hall Stately home where the array of outstanding British Asian Superwomen includes Media Personalities such as Broadcaster Sonali Shah who is known as a TV Presenter for Newsround and for her roles in the BBC’s coverage of many marquee live events over recent years, such as the Queen's 90th birthday and the Royal Wedding. Award-Winning TV and Radio Presenter Suzi Mann, who co-produced the BBC documentary Passing The Baby, and Actress and Presenter Ellie Torrez who won the Horror Genre Award for Best Actress for Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
From the Music industry, The Superwomen Campaign celebrates Singer and Songwriter Sonna Rele a bulling-survivor artist who discovered stardom after Producer and R&B Legend Ne-Yo offered her a record deal. Songwriter and Classical Musician Amrit Kaur whose notable performances include The Glastonbury Festival 2017 alongside The Somerset House Summer Series and MTV.
Examples of excellence are also Award-Winning Lawyer and Author Ritu Sethi from Sethi Partnership Solicitors, who made the shortlist in the prestigious Woman of The Year 2017 category at the British Asian Achievers Awards (BAAs) – a programme endorsed by the UK Prime Minister, Theresa May – Reena Ranger Counselor and Co-Founder of Women Empowered, a social initiative that aims to inspire and help women (and men) to make the best of their individual talents and skills, Optimum Performance Expert Manmeet Kaur Chowdhry, who helps people breakthrough emotional blocks holding them back, and Sharminder Ubhi, Director of Ashiana Network, a charitable company led by MBE women, developing and delivering specialist services to women who have experienced or are at risk of VAWG (Violence Against Women & Girls), including forced marriage, domestic, sexual and/ or honour-based violence.
The list continues with Henna Artist and Entrepreneur Pavan Dhanjal, who won the Guinness World Record for being the fastest Henna Artist in 2012 when she completed 512 unique armbands in an hour, smashing her 2009 record, recently receiving a British Empire Medal for Services to Beauty in 2018. Also Body Transformation Coach Nazia Khatun, who takes women on a journey to self-acceptance, and last but not the least Creative Chef Poonam Ball, Director of the renowned Indian Restaurant Madhu’s, a family run business for four generations.
The Superwomen Campaign aims to celebrate the Asian Women who have achieved success through their challenges and have broken stigma in society paving the way for the next generation.
